Position Description : Mechanical Designer
Job Description : Create design layouts, including models, to meet supplied requirements. Generate engineering drawings for fabrication and assembly of mechanical parts from layouts
Essential Duties & Responsibilitie : include the following
- Create mechanical model using Inventor; Generate mechanical assembly drawings with parts list from details
- Generate and revise orthogonal view drawings for fabrication of parts
- Interpret customer requirements and other design requirements with management
- Maintain design product documentation
- Work with production department to insure product ability and quality
Desired skills :
- Familiarity with Autodesk Vault
- Good Verbal Communication Skills
- Ability to deal with variety of abstract and concrete variables
- May occasionally work around heavy industrial machineries
Position Description : Administrative Receptionist
Job Description : Assist with administrative activities as requested. Answer incoming calls, screen all calls, take accurate messages. Greet visitors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Include the following and other duties as assigned
- Answer incoming calls, screen calls, take accurate messages, greet visitors
- Make copies, faxing, distributing mail, scanning documents, assembling manual/notebooks, filing
- Check paper levels on copiers and printers daily and refill if needed, manage copier maintenance.
- Update employee contact list on employee website
- Correct and format documents – manuals, procedures, SMPV’s, proposals and other NSI documents.
- Required to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, overtime as needed
- Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks. Tolerance for priority changes.
- Update ECN and other work logs and organize ECN notebooks
- Customer Export Checklist Verification
- Accounts Payable – matching invoices to packing slips and PO’s, filing, and mailing
- Assemble user manuals
- Make Project Books and dividers
- Research dates on manufacturing work orders
- File Production paperwork in project books
- Misc. typing for Production
- Print out manuals and put in deliverable binders for customers
- Update Customer Supplied Property (CSP) log
- Update calibration database
- Assist in Quality functions as needed, e.g. update and forward procedures in DCS
- Data entry for a variety of applications and activities
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Office experience with proficiency in Windows based software, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and other software as required
- Ability to deal with variety of abstract and concrete variables
- May occasionally work around heavy industrial machineries
Language Skills :
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers and employees
- Good communication skills – both verbal and written
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a range of practical problems
Physical Demands :
- Occasional stooping, bending, walking, reaching and carrying.
- Sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Prolonged use of desktop computer
Work Environment :

Position Description : Service Engineer
Job Description : Repair, maintenance and calibration of NSI products; troubleshooting of customer problems; maintain service records/logs; compose service reports; back-up support of factory assembly and test, and site installation.
The ideal candidate will have strong electromechanical skills and either educational or work experience in radar, robotics, or complex high precision mechanical systems. The candidate would have dealt with assembly or service of the mechanical components of the system, their electrical control interface, and the sensors they control.
As much of the work will take place at customer facilities, the candidate must be able to think and work independently with little direction and be able to improvise with a limited set of available resources.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot and repair high precision mechanical systems
- Align and calibrate NSI products using various optical tooling
- Troubleshoot and install electrical components
- Provide telephone and site support to customers
- Author comprehensive written service reports
- Recommend product operation improvements
- Develop and improve test procedures and techniques
- Domestic & international field support of NSI products (planned & unplanned). Approx. 60%
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications :
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering required
Required :
- Experience with alignment using precision mechanical tools (dial indicator, etc.)
- Ability to read schematic diagrams and engineering drawing
- Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware and software (Windows-based)
- Strong computer skills
- US Citizenship
Highly Desired :
- Experience with RF systems (RX, sources, amplifiers, mixers)
- Experience with laser alignment tools (laser tracker, spinning laser, laser DME)
- Experience with laser or optical measuring equipment
- Experience with VNA (Agilent, R&S, etc.)
- Experience with antenna or antenna measurements
- Experience in using Matlab
- Programming skills (C, C++, VBASIC, java, or similar)
Language Skills :
The candidate must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Fluency in other languages, especially Manderin, Spanish and/or Japanese is a plus
